With the holidays just around the corner and the weather cooling down, it's time to find cozy and warm clothing and accessories. It's supposed to be cold and rainy all weekend here in LA, so the weather has really made me excited for this winter! Although right now it's looking like the weather forecast was lying, it's still chilly enough to get me into the winter mind-set. I'm looking forward to wearing warm furs and putting on cozy boots. I am also into chunky knits- loop scarves, wool headbands and big sweaters. Here are some pieces that are giving me ideas on what I want to get.(I find most of these items on net-a-porter.com or piperlime.com)
1. Ashland fur vest, BB Dakota- $95.00

2. Wool-blend cape, Sandro- $630

3. Fur trimmed blazer, Elizabeth and James- $765

4. Elliot wool gloves, Marc by Marc Jacobs- $80

5. Black circle scarf, Modcloth.com- $40

6. Cable-knit wool headband, The North Circular- $60

7. Leopard skull silk-chiffon scarf, Alexander McQueen- $475

8. Black crocodile embossed rain boots, Hunter Boots for Jimmy Choo- $425

9.  Niobe knee-high boot, Betsey Johnson- $396

10. Wool lined leather boots, Chloé- $1,195

All Over Downtown

It took a ton of time to filter through all of the clothes at the sample sale. I live for this.

Our HOT lunch

Yesterday I had a very successful warehouse sale shopping day with a good friend in downtown LA. It was the perfect pick me up for a rainy day. We hit the annual Ella Moss and Splendid sample sale in the Cooper design space building, each of us leaving with a sack of unbelievably soft cotton clothes. Next we hit up a contemporary furniture warehouse sale. I loved the mix of the rugged feel of the run down warehouse and the chicness of the ultra modern furniture. We ended our morning out at Orochon Ramen, a DELICIOUS ramen house in Little Tokyo where you can choose your ramen's spiciness on a scale from 7-1. (I have a pretty high tolerance for spice, but a 4 had my nose running and lips burning.)

Fresh Start

I have been thinking about starting a blog for quite some time now, and I am happy to finally be doing it! I plan to share my latest obsessions with fashion, beauty, food, et cetera... The name of my blog came from the one and only Coco Chanel. I thought it would be the perfect name since I want to share trends (which fade) and ideas on personal style (remains). Please help me get started!
